Step Up Tutoring partners with schools and districts to provide one-on-one virtual tutoring and mentorship for 2nd–6th grade students from underserved communities. Our twice weekly home-based program helps students grow in math or reading, build confidence, and develop positive learning habits—without adding to your staff’s workload.

How It Works

  1. Identify Students:

    We collaborate with teachers and administrators to match students who will benefit most.

  2. Pair Students with a Consistent Tutor:

    Students are matched with a caring, trained tutor who meets with them virtually at home after school.

  3. Provide Research-Backed Support:

    Tutors and students meet twice per week for 45-minute sessions. Tutors follow a research-backed curriculum, leverage adaptive technology, and receive ongoing coaching from Step Up.
