We're going into our fourth week back at school, and we hope you're settling into the swing of things :)

This update contains information about our upcoming events, resources for tutoring sessions, and more!

February is Black History Month!

Black History Month is a time for us to celebrate the achievements of African Americans and recognize past and present forms of anti-black racism and discrimination in our society. Black History Month dates back to 1926!
As part of black history month, we'd like to spotlight the work of prominent educator Dr. Edmund Gordon. A prominent psychologist and education researcher, Dr. Gordon has dedicated his career to advancing the educations of black children and children of color. His work ranges from co-founding Kennedy's Head Start program to popularizing the term "achievement gap" and studying racial disparities in education outcomes.
You can read more about Dr. Gordon here and here.
